Employment Directions is a community-based organisation delivering the Job Active, Work for the Dole and Student Community and Engagement Program (FLO) programs in the Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, Gawler, York Peninsula, Port Pirie and Peterborough regions .Expressions of interest are for the Barossa Valley and Gawler
We are seeking a dynamic Youth Consultant who excels in a challenging environment. This role is a full time , must be able to travel between schools ,must be able to work school holidays. This is a diverse role applying case management support services, and group work to eligible young people both within the community and in schools within the region.
The successful candidate will possess;
· An ability to achieve outcomes
· Outstanding organisational and time management skills coupled with strong administrative skills
· A demonstrated understanding of barriers faced by young people
· An ability to proactively assist young people to achieve a range of education, life skills and social outcomes, assist both in a group and individual settings
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent conflict resolution and problem solving skills
Previous experience in working with young people within education, community services and/or youth services will be highly regarded.
Essential requirements
Minimum of Certificate 4 in Youth Work
Respond to Abuse and Neglect
First Aid
DCSI clearance.
Drivers Licence
