The Youth Action Committee (YAC) aims to get young people heavily and actively involved in their local communities by participating and planning in youth related projects and activities.

The YAC committee and representatives conducti events and influence decisions on the issues that are important and relevant to young people. Members of YAC have an opportunity to become involved in making decisions about matters that affect young people living in their local council area. It gives young people a chance for personal growth and development but to also enable them to learn more about their council and local governement.

It is a great opportunity to work on some exciting projects and have the chance to meet other people in the community and mix with a diverse range of ages of youth and other community members from all walks of life.

YAC members are a group of young people between the ages of 12 and 25, who live, work or study in SA and are living within their local council region. YAC look for a broad range of skills and attributes, along with experiences and knowledge from young people. As well as looking for youth with a passion for creating and having a presence and place within their community.
